Public and private institutions differ in many ways

Public vs. Private

Public institutions are subsidized by the government. Private ones, however, rely only tuition. Therefore private universities usually have smaller class sizes and less programs to offer. 

In Canada, students who graduate from a public institution are eligible for a Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP), allowing them enter the Canadian job market after they graduate.

Living on-campus also reduces the cost and time spent on various modes of transportation. After getting your letter of acceptance form the your school of choice, it’s time to apply for a Study Permit.

Obtaining study permit and student visa is part of our services included in our educational package. These two documents are necessary for entering Canada, and for travelling in and out of the country. Post-secondary students with a valid study permit are eligible to work for 20 hours in Canada.

Admission Requirements

General Requirements

Different criteria apply to  different regions. However, Canadian Universities have general requirements which are as follows:

  • High school diploma
  • Standardized English Test (e.g. IELTS or TOEFL). It is possible to obtain conditional acceptance depending on the level of English
  • General academic requirements specific to each program

IB

IB diploma is one of the most advanced high school diplomas around the world. Graduates from the IB Diploma Program are considered a priority compared to students with a normal high school diploma.

A-Levels

A-Levels (As and A2) is a British system well-known by universities around the world. Graduates from this program can seek their way to university much easier than regular high school graduates.

GCSE

Normally, GCSE students need to continue their education to A-Levels, after which they can apply to a university. However, there are some pathways by which these students can directly enter some of the high-ranked universities in Canada by only even 5 Cs.
